T E S T I M O N I A L SThe following are unsolicited testimonials from Arvada Plumbing's tremendous base of happy customers:
THE COMMERCIAL BUILDING RENOVATION I was fortunate enough to amass about $100,000 in savings from the success of my Denver business which I had been running out of an apartment building and I decided it was time to move the business into it's own free-standing building. Since I was on the precipice of starting up a family, I sought a building where I could operate a business downstairs and have my own apartment upstairs. It greatly helps alleviate commuting pains and my ever presence in the building would allow me to keep an eye on all the assets should any robbers decide to assail the premises. Before too long, I found the perfect place for sale. A two-story building that was for the most part, a glorified warehouse. A small section of the front was built out with offices, there were two downstairs bathrooms that functioned like men's and ladies' rooms and a half bath upstairs and little else. PLENTY OF ROOM UPSTAIRS TO TRICK OUT There was about 4,000 square feet upstairs I could remodel to my liking. I wanted to add a laundry room, a big kitchen and a full-bath. I had the space but how to manage the plumbing was a big question for me. I couldn't quite figure out what to do to make it all happen. This is when a friend of mine recommended Arvada Plumbing. I made an appointment and stopped by to see them with my 1959 era blueprints of the building in tow. They opened up and looked at the blueprints with great interest. Using them as a guide, the man at Arvada Plumbing immediately drew out a little sketch for me. He saw the area I sought to build in and developed an amazing plan to install a linear set of pipes that would bring water and drain waste water from the area and be able to hook up directly to the city's water and sewer systems. He even envisioned and drew in the exhaust vents that the plumbing would require on the roof of the building. |

AMAZING COORDINATION!
Because Arvada Plumbing had a pretty clean slate to work with, they drew up a plan to create a pathway within the wall to accommodate all the plumbing and electrical hook-ups as well. They helped me coordinate plans with the electrician as they installed the PVC pipes and the hot water heater to serve the rooms so as the carpenter completed the wallboard, the electric and plumbing were all seamlessly in place. I had hook-ups for all my appliances, the dishwasher and sink were flawless and I had a huge kitchen. The cost of the off-the-shelf cabinetry from Home Depot alone cost $10,000 but the total plumbing costs were far less than half of that. At the end, I had a wall with a full hot and cold water faucet and drain port for the laundry room, a super huge kitchen, and a modern, fully tricked out bathroom with the latest fixtures. I enjoyed that place for over five years until I sold it and all those upgrades helped afford me about a cool $2M profit on the sale. I'll never forget Arvada Plumbing for the ingenious help they provided me in the design and crafting of my building and I will always come back to them whenever I need plumbing work of any kind!
THE CURSED AND POSSESSED TOILET
Almost always at the least opportune moment, this toilet would overflow. Nasty waste products would spill out all over the small bathroom. It was always a big mess! Yes, I would apply the plumber's friend plunger to the dastardly thing routinely and it would flush just fine! It seemed to be working perfectly! Just when everything looked OK and it was time to make a steamy turd before a hot date, I would use the toilet and then it would happen again. A big clog and a subsequent horrible overflow of nasty turds flowing everywhere all over the little bathroom. It was quite awful and the clean-up always took so long it really cramped my style and would make me late everywhere I had to go, dates, business appointments, you name it and this toilet would make me be late showing up.
One day, my neighbor across the hall was letting out a man from the Arvada Plumbing Service. He had just fixed her faucet. I couldn't help but mention the long-term problem I was having with my toilet, how it had literally plagued me for years and was at least partially responsible for helping ruin my life. He said: "I'll be happy to take a look at it if you like?" and I just couldn't refuse. He was there, with his truck ready to go. What did I have to lose? "Sometimes there are things that lodge in the trap and create intermittent clogs." he said. He brought in a big twisty snake with a cranking handle and began probing the toilet whilst twisting the crank. "I think I've got something!" he said with a kind of glee. He withdrew the snake and much to my complete and total amazement, speared there on the tip of the wire snake was a small plastic bottle. My God! How long had that been lodged in the toilet's trap? It was a miracle! In a matter of five minutes, he resolved a problem that had plagued me for five years! The guys at Arvada Plumbing are the bomb!
THE CURIOUS CASE OF THE BABY AND THE TOILET
As babies grow up, they slowly learn what the toilet is all about and over time, they figure out how to use it instead of making doo doo in their pants. When the toilet became clogged in the baby's bathroom, we just couldn't figure how it might have happened. We hadn't flushed anything too big down the toilet, ever (or so we thought.)
After the toilet just stopped flushing properly, a slow and sluggish draining and using the plunger didn't seem to make any difference, we decided it was time to call Arvada Plumbing. The Arvada plumber arrived right on time and began a analysis on the toilet that would rival any doctor's diagnosis. He flushed the toilet and observed the time it took for the water to go down and did some other things. After his observations, he concluded that there must be an odd kind of obstruction lodged in the toilet. He then proceeded to shut off the water to the toilet and begin to remove it.
Once he had the toilet unbolted from the floor and disconnected from the water supply and had emptied all the water out, he picked up the whole thing and shook it. You could hear a metallic rattling noise coming from inside. You could barely see the edge of it through the curve of the toilet trap but lodged within this toilet was the metal cap from a Gerber Baby Food jar. For those uninitiated, I can accurately report that the diameter of a baby food cap is closely aligned with the diameter of the hole in the bottom of your toilet! The cap did not want to come out. At some point as the clock ticked it made sense for the Arvada Plumber to sell us one of the replacement toilets he kept on-board his van and he had that put in place within moments. We were made whole again in short order and now we pay extra attention to the baby's toilet habits, particularly those that might compel him to throw foreign objects down the drain!
THE IMPORTANCE OF RELIABILITY
As a small business owner in downtown Denver, I compete with other businesses everyday to perform retail operations. On any particular day, the competition is thick and we can only expect to receive our small portion of the share. If there are any issues, problems with our retail facility, the customers will merely blow us off and go to any of the other retailers that compete with us in this market space. Keeping the public bathrooms clean and appealing to customers is a critical component to our operation. We only have one set of bathrooms and while we do our best to keep them in the best possible working order at all times, sometimes things happen. I've learned to call Arvada Plumbing Services at the first sign of any trouble and they dispatch someone right away to help straighten out the problem. We have come to rely on Arvada Plumbing Services and our relationship with them has been very good. We know we can always count on them when we need to be rescued from any plumbing problem we might encounter.
THE BURST HOT WATER HEATER
When a hot water heater goes bad, it can be an awfully bad thing. It really depends on the location of the unit in your home. In my case, the water heater was located in the back of a warehouse in a corner up against the wall near the overhead door. What was especially bad was that my boss had many of his most prized possessions in boxes stored on the floor along the wall where the water heater was. When the water heater went bad, we couldn't immediately detect the problem because the ton of water that shot out lined the back wall getting sucked up into the cardboard boxes instead of shooting out in a flood of water. Things like rare paintings, pictures, posters and other one of a kind memorabilia were getting soaked up by the collection.
We immediately starting freaking out. We weren't even entirely sure how to cut off the water supply. The first place we called was Arvada Plumbing! They has a crew out on the road just returning from another job and they dispatched them to our emergency. As soon as they arrived, they located the water cutoff valve that was located under a planter on the front porch. We never would have found it but Arvada Plumbing was familiar with the construction techniques in our industrial neighborhood and knew where to look. Once the water was shut off, I called in some of our additional staff to help mop up the water and go through the boxes of stuff to allow it to dry out and be spared.
Arvada Plumbing deemed our hot water heater to be bad and just happened to have a brand new, similar unit on board their van. By any measure, it wasn't that expensive either to replace. I'd say the crew from Arvada Plumbing had the new hot water heater installed in under a half hour. We spent the next two days getting the mess cleaned up. My boss doesn't show up at the warehouse everyday and we're all pretty glad he didn't show up this time until we had everything back in order otherwise he probably would have gotten mad and fired us all. Thanks to the professionals at Arvada Plumbing, we were able to curtail a disaster in progress that could have turned out far uglier than it did.
